Dr. Wyvonne Sitgraves speaking to service members and veterans: Know the person. Identify the fit. Connect the opportunity.

Facilitator

People matter. Better fits build stronger teams.

Dr. Sitgraves is a current VA patient and prior employee of the Veterans Health Administration, with substantial knowledge of the system and an invested interest in its success.

VA employees serve veterans, their families, and caregivers with a myriad of health, mental, and social needs. When placement and onboarding move too quickly toward the first available role, organizations experience poor fit, disengagement, early resignation, and costly retraining.

“Better fits build stronger teams and brighter futures for our veterans.”

Why consistency matters

Veterans thrive with steady support. Their teams thrive with steady development.

01

Sustained care

Veterans who receive consistent, person-centered support are more likely to stay engaged, retain employment, and advance in their roles.

02

Sharper staff

Employment specialists and caregivers with ongoing professional development keep assessment and placement skills current and confident.

03

Lower turnover

Organizations that pair early discovery with consistent coaching reduce avoidable retraining and early resignation among veteran hires.

04

Stronger teams

Leadership teams that train together build shared language, clearer handoffs, and a culture where every veteran is seen as a whole person.

Built for this mission

Service, scholarship, and resilience prepared her for this work.

Dr. Wyvonne Sitgraves speaking at a podium in front of an audience, with a backdrop reading Leadership, Equity, Lasting Impact

Dr. Sitgraves served in the United States military, developing the discipline, systems thinking, and team leadership that now shape every session she facilitates. She knows what it means to wear the uniform, answer the call, and transition into a new mission.

That discipline carried her through a doctoral program while life demanded everything she had. Her scholarship in assessment, career fit, and human development gives the PIG framework a research-backed backbone.

After the death of her son, she made a deliberate choice to keep thriving and to serve others through the grief. That lived experience deepens her empathy for veterans, families, caregivers, and the professionals who walk alongside them.

She does not just teach fit. She has lived the work of becoming whole again.
